Disgusting intrusive thoughts ruining my life?

You are asking How to get rid of negative thoughts? 

By not calling them YOUR thoughts. Till the time you say that these are my thoughts, how can you get rid of them? First of all you have to create a distance between you and these thoughts. Till the time you keep identifying with them, keep calling them yours, they will be with you. ‘My negative thoughts’, this MY must go away. Thoughts are thoughts. You are not the thoughts and the thoughts are really not yours. The mind is configured, programmed to think and this thinking is stimulated by external events. Why do you call these thoughts yours? Look at the thoughts just as you look at anything else. When these thoughts arrive, look at them just as you look at this fan or anything happening in a laboratory. Let it happen and just know it completely that this is happening. 

First thing is, stop calling them ‘my thoughts’ and second is, stop calling them ‘negative’. The moment you label something as ‘positive’ or ‘negative’, it will be impossible to you to be impartial, unbiased towards it. So do not call them ‘my thoughts’ and also do not call them ‘negative thoughts’. Just see that something is there in the mind. Its coming and its going. Don’t give it a label as ‘good thought’ or ‘bad thought’, ‘negative-positive’ or ‘pleasant-unpleasant’. Don’t attach any label to it. Just see that this thought is there. Understand when it has come. Be a very attentive watcher. The ‘third entity’! 

There is the object stimulating the thought, there is the mind that is thinking and there is ‘you’ who is knowing that the thought is there. And then see what happens. It will be magical.
